I’m an English Literature graduate who tutors IGCSE Literature students, mainly for the poetry and drama components. Lessons are discussion-based: we unpack themes, character choices and key quotations before turning ideas into essay plans. I’m used to working with the set texts used in Kuwait’s international schools and adapt resources to each class. I also help students organise simple quotation banks and theme charts so revision feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

Hi, I’m an IGCSE English Literature tutor working with students online. Many of my students enjoy the stories but are unsure how to analyse them. Together we build simple paragraph frames for comparison questions, practise selecting short quotations, and learn how to link points back to the writer’s message in a way examiners recognise. We also look briefly at critics’ comments and context so stronger students can push towards the very top grade boundaries.

For the past decade I’ve supported IGCSE English Literature classes as both a classroom teacher and private tutor. I tend to work with students aiming for grades 7–9 who want more stretch on unseen poetry and prose. We read examiners’ reports, break down sample essays and practise timed responses under realistic conditions to sharpen interpretation and style. Several of my former students now take A-Level English, and I still advise them on wider reading and essay planning.
